What Is a White-Label MT5 WebTrader? A Guide for Brokers

What a white-label MT5 WebTrader is, how it differs from an MT5 white label licence, what can be branded, and how brokers deliver one without running servers.

Key takeaways
  • A white-label WebTrader is the MT5 web terminal presented under your brand and domain.
  • It is not the same as an MT5 white label licence. You still need MT5 access.
  • Branding covers the domain, company details, legal links and page titles.
  • Edge delivery on Cloudflare Workers removes the need for servers and reverse proxies.

The short definition

A white-label MT5 WebTrader is the MetaTrader 5 web terminal delivered to your clients on your own domain (for example trade.yourbrand.com) and presented with your company’s details. Clients open it in a browser, log in with their MT5 account and trade, without installing anything.

WebTrader white label vs MT5 white label licence

The two terms are easy to confuse:

  • MT5 licence or white label: the right to operate MetaTrader 5 for your clients, either through a direct licence from MetaQuotes or through a provider’s server. This gives you accounts, a trading server and platform access.
  • White-label WebTrader: how the web terminal is presented and delivered to your clients, meaning your domain, your branding and your access rules.

You need the first before the second. FXPTrader provides the second: it brands and delivers the web terminal for the MT5 access you already have.

What can be branded

  • The address in the browser bar: your domain or subdomain, with SSL.
  • Your company name and page titles.
  • Your address, email and phone number.
  • Links to your licence information and privacy policy.
  • Your end-user agreement text.
  • Your trading server name.

Trading functions such as charts, order types and execution come from MT5 and your trading server, so clients get the same trusted experience.

How it is delivered

Traditionally, brokers rented a server and configured a reverse proxy such as Nginx to serve the web terminal on their domain. That means maintaining servers, SSL certificates and updates, and serving every trader from one location.

FXPTrader uses Cloudflare Workers instead. A small program runs on your domain inside Cloudflare’s network of more than 300 cities. It serves the terminal, applies your branding and access rules, and passes WebSocket traffic for live prices and orders. There is no server for you to run. Why it matters

  • Trust: clients see the same brand from your website to the terminal.
  • Conversion: fewer "is this the right site?" moments when clients fund and trade.
  • Control: your legal links and contact details where clients need them.
  • Cost: no servers to maintain for web access.
